The Content Sync utility is similar to Content Extractor, however it was specifically designed to be used as part of a workflow process. This utility enables a user to extract specific archived content from a scheduled report stored in the Content Store database out to a specified file system location.
- Securely Extract Stored Archives (PDF, XLS, HTML, XML, etc.) from Content Store to local file system
- Command Line driven to integrate in a workflow process
- Ability to transform csv outputs to a different format (e.g. tab delimited)
- Invoke a secondary batch file or executable to process the downloaded file (e.g. FTP script, Database Import)
Prerequisites:
- Windows 2000 or higher (XP, 2003, etc.)
- Microsoft .NET 2.0, which is freely available from Microsoft if you do not already have it as part of any current software application installed on your machine
- Proper Windows user permissions to install software
- Cognos 8.0 and higher
